James C.P. Berry
James Berry is an attorney who recently retired as a lawyer from JPMorgan Chase & Co. after spending 29 years in its Legal Department. He joined J.P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated in 1979 after spending four years as an associate with the law firm of Milbank Tweed Hadley and McCloy. Prior to returning to college and attending law school, Mr. Berry was a banker for ten years with Bank of America, NT&SA in California.
Mr. Berry is a Trustee of The Helene Foundation, the former President and a Board Member of the Jose Limon Dance Foundation, a former Trustee of Vassar College, and has done legal work for artists on behalf of Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts, has incorporated several not-for-profit entities, and worked with many dancers, dance companies, choreographers and opera singers. In addition, Mr. Berry has performed as a dancer and as an actor.
Mr. Berry received his Bachelor of Arts in 1972 from Vassar College and his Juris Doctor from Yale University in 1975.
